CASE STUDY: BABYLISS

BaByliss launch their latest products at the Boots Annual Conference. It takes place over 4 consecutive days with 7 one-hour presentations per day, each one attended by an intimate crowd of 40 delegates. It’s a big show. Luckily, my hair was looking glorious that week.

The brief

I was tasked to work directly with the client, writing and scripting featuring product demonstrations, company reviews and interviews with some celebrity hairdressers - brand ambassadors.

The solution

Working with the client’s brand messaging for the quarter, we created the show’s theme and then, with the help of an army of set designers and a production company, developed it all the way through to opening night. This included several audience interaction segments for which I wrote the entire script.

The result

The show garnered high praise from all attendees, leading to several other appearances for BaByliss at a number of later events, including hosting the main stage at ‘Salon International’; an exhibition attended by over 5000 people. A year later, the team approached me again to consult, write and appear at the Boots Conference - brand new show, brand new theme. I love working with BaByliss, writing content and hosting events - it’s been a relationship spanning the last 12 years that I very much hope continues that far into the future.
